Steven Lapcevic is an independent animator who has shown his work publicly in group shows in the NYC area including the 2009 COAHSI Gala and 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2015 LUMEN festivals. His animation has been featured in IFC Media Lab, David Chocron’s multimedia experience “Dreamweaver”, “DREAMS: Cinema of the Subconscious” directed by Roko Belic, and “Disaster 501: What Happened to Man?”, conceptualized by Lars von Trier and directed by Jenle Hallund. His work has screened at The 2007 Uovo Horror and Mystery Film Festival, The 2015 TromaDance Film Festival, The 2015 Coney Island Film Festival and The 2016 Moviate Underground Film Festival. He collaborates regularly with the band Feeding Fingers and its founder Justin Curfman. Mr. Lapcevic has been the recipient of the 2010 COAHSI Excellence in the Arts Award, 2010 Experimental Television Center Grant, 2013 NYSCA Original Work Grant and a 2016 SIA Excellence in the Arts Award.
